Born from playful experimentation with vintage lighting components, Apparatus is a New York based design studio led by Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson. Hendifar's background in fashion and interior design and Anderson's background in public relations, make them a perfect fit.
The slip-cast porcelain forms of the Lantern Series float along a rigid brass structure. Their glow is punctuated by finely incised fluting, connecting the most essential element of historical lanterns–light passing through a delicate protective form. Repeating spheres act as a counterpoint to the sizeable shades.
